General Considerations
This document sets out the pre-contractual information relating to distance contracts entered into on the website www.geocakes.com under Article 4 of Decree-Law no. 24/2014 of 14 February.
Browsing the Geocakes website, as well as purchasing any product, implies acceptance of the following information and general conditions of sale. If you do not fully accept any of the conditions set out, you should not use our site.
Users may use the site without needing to register. However, some of the site's features may require registration.
All information provided by the User must be accurate and truthful. The User must update the information provided whenever it changes. The User is responsible for any false, incomplete or incorrect statements they make and for any losses these may cause to the company or third parties, arising from the information they provide.
We decline any responsibility for damages arising from improper or negligent use of the password set by the User to access their account. The User must ensure the confidentiality of their password.
Registered Users will have access to a personal area containing the data provided at the time of registration. Through registration, Users can access their account data and change or permanently delete it. They can view their orders, returns and communications with the company.
The site offers products marketed by Geocakes Unipessoal, Lda, located at EN353, S/n, Junto ao Chafariz, Senhora da Graça, 6060-191 Idanha-a-Nova, with tax/commercial registration number 513 898 174 and share capital of €5,000.
The information about the products presented on the site is intended only to provide a brief summary for the visitor's convenience and information.

Users expressly accept and acknowledge that:
- The photographs shown on the Site are for illustrative purposes only; detailed information on products and their respective characteristics/specifications should be consulted;
- The price shown is the recommended price; however, spelling errors may occur, and we cannot guarantee supply if this is the case;
- We will make every reasonable effort to include accurate and up-to-date information about products on the Site. However, we cannot guarantee this;
- We do not guarantee that items included on the Site are in stock, nor do we assume responsibility for discontinued items.

All content available on the site is the property of GEOCAKES and must not be shared or used without Geocakes' express written authorisation.

We reserve the right to change the Terms and Conditions of Service at any time, without prior notice.

Orders
After receiving your order, you will receive an email confirmation, which, however, does not constitute final acceptance. The order should be considered accepted once we declare acceptance by email or upon dispatch of the goods.
For final acceptance, the User must pay for the order in full, including shipping costs, and send us an email with proof of payment.
If the User has not made payment within 3 days, their order will be cancelled.
If the amount paid does not correspond to the full order amount, namely if the amount paid is lower, and if the customer does not settle the full amount within 3 business days, a credit note will be issued for the amount paid up to that point and the order will be cancelled.

Payment Methods
- Bank transfer: PT50 0045 4050 4027 9265 9032 4.
- Multibanco reference: the order is only confirmed once the reference generated by easypay has been paid.
- Cash on delivery (additional cost applies): the order enters processing automatically.
- PayPal, MB Way, Multibanco references and debit and credit cards.

Shipping
Orders may be collected free of charge from our premises.
Via CTT Expresso or another carrier:
Delivery costs are added and calculated automatically based on weight, for ambient-temperature food items;
Celebration cakes are not sent by courier; they may be delivered, subject to availability, within the Idanha-a-Nova/Castelo Branco region, at a cost of €0.75 per km.
All items have a preparation period, so ordering in advance is recommended.
Processing time may vary depending on stock availability and the quantity ordered.
For home deliveries, you will receive a delivery confirmation email (sent as soon as your order leaves our warehouse).
The courier may contact you by SMS or email with delivery information about your order. We currently offer free shipping on orders over €49.99.

Damaged or delayed orders
Geocakes is responsible for delivering products in good condition.
Should an order not be delivered in proper condition, the User must report this to the courier in writing at the time of delivery (recipient's reservation), and keep evidence of this. You should then send an email to geral@geocakes.com explaining what happened, together with proof of the observation.
After review, the claim will be accepted or rejected. Where a claim is accepted, Geocakes will grant the customer a credit equal to the value of the product, to be used to purchase any other product available in the store, or will find a solution agreed by both parties.
Geocakes is not responsible for any delivery delays.

Returns Policy
The return of food products is subject to Portuguese Decree-Law no. 24/2014 of 14 February, Article 17, points:
c) Supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised;
d) Supply of goods which, by their nature, cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
e) Supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons if unsealed after delivery. For non-food products, return shipping costs are borne by the customer. The customer may withdraw from the contract without paying any penalty and without giving any reason within 14 days of receiving the product.
The right of withdrawal will only be valid and effective if the customer returns the products within a maximum of 30 days of receiving them, in the exact original condition in which they were shipped, to the address indicated by the customer, together with a copy of proof of purchase.
The customer may not exercise the right of free withdrawal in contracts for goods that have been personalised, nor in contracts for goods or services which, by their nature, cannot be returned.
When the right of free withdrawal has been exercised by the customer under the terms set out above, Geocakes will refund the amounts paid by the customer using the method it considers most appropriate.

Price Information
Sale prices are shown in euros and, except in case of a spelling or publication error, include VAT. Should a computer, manual, technical or other error occur, causing a substantial change not foreseen by Geocakes in the retail price, such that it becomes exorbitant or clearly negligible, the purchase order will be considered invalid and cancelled.

Geocakes is not bound, by membership or legal obligation, to any alternative consumer dispute resolution body, so participation in such a process is optional, under the terms of Law no. 144/2015 of 8 September.
