Geopark Naturtejo, a UNESCO Global Geopark and the first Portuguese geopark, is located between the Tagus valley and the mountains of central Portugal, and covers the municipalities of Castelo Branco, Idanha-a-Nova, Nisa, Oleiros, Penamacor, Proença-a-Nova and Vila Velha de Ródão.
