    The ratio of fruit to sugar should be 1 part fruit (no peels, no pits, no seeds, etc.) to 2 parts sugar for most fruits.
    This way the preserve will last for several months and be well preserved.
    Give them a little extra flavor with lemon or other citrus peel, cinnamon sticks, herbs, spices, wild berries, etc.
    And how do you make them super fast in the microwave and with a fresher flavor?
