The natural mineral water from the springs of Serra de Penha Garcia , which have supplied the historic Monfortinho Thermal Baths since the early 20th century, is now available in bottled form. This marks a new chapter for one of Portugal's most iconic waters, whose unique composition sets it apart on the national scene.

Captured in an area of high environmental wealth, this water has an unusually high silica concentration—approximately 53 mg/l—one of the highest in the world. Several studies have shown that silica plays an essential role in biological processes related to skin regeneration, tissue elasticity, collagen formation, bone health, and cellular defense against oxidative stress. Eastern tradition, particularly in Asian countries, has associated the regular consumption of silica-rich waters with maintaining youthful skin and longevity.

With a pH of 5.8 and hyposaline properties, this water is particularly mild, suitable for daily consumption, and recommended for people with kidney or respiratory conditions or high blood pressure. The therapeutic properties of Monfortinho water have been recognized for decades in the treatment of metabolic-endocrine, rheumatic, musculoskeletal, dermatological, circulatory, nephro-urinary, and respiratory diseases.
