Some rosés surprise you. This one from Quinta dos Termos is one of them. The combination of Syrah and Baga, two grape varieties with distinct personalities, results in a wine with real character: aromatic, fresh and with a vibrant acidity that makes it a versatile, memorable food partner.
Syrah and Baga: an Unlikely Meeting, a Unique Result
Syrah brings structure and aromatic exoticism, notes usually associated with warm-climate reds. Baga answers with the lively acidity and freshness that characterise this traditional Portuguese variety. Together, they create a dry rosé with layers and personality, well beyond an everyday rosé. Full ageing in stainless steel tanks preserves varietal purity and territorial expression with no interference from wood.
What You'll Find in the Glass
An intense rosé colour, hints that hint at the complexity to come. On the nose, fresh red fruit with floral notes and an exotic touch from the Syrah. On the palate, Baga's acidity gives it liveliness and length, with a dry, fresh, appetising finish. A rosé that invites a second glass.
Territory and Production
Produced at Quinta dos Termos, at the heart of Beira Baixa, this DOC rosé is certified under Integrated Production by Sativa. A commitment to sustainability that respects the local ecosystem and values the native resources of Beira Interior.
Why Choose This Rosé
Handcrafted Jam from Beira Baixa
Geocakes' Extra Pumpkin Jam is made in Idanha-a-Nova, at the heart of the Naturtejo Geopark, Portugal's first UNESCO Global Geopark. Prepared with pumpkins from the local garden and lifted by whole orange and cinnamon, this extra jam delivers a balanced flavour and a velvety texture, true to the preserving methods passed down through generations in Beira Baixa.
Velvety Flavour, Aromas We Recognise
The combination of pumpkin's natural sweetness with the citrus touch of whole orange and the warmth of cinnamon results in a jam with its own character. It's a recipe that needs no artifice, just well-chosen ingredients and the right cooking time.
Rooted in Tradition, Made by Hands that Know How
Made by Chefs Raquel and Mário Rui Ramos, this extra jam follows handcrafted fruit-preserving methods passed down through generations in the Beira Baixa region. Every jar reflects respect for the fruit's right time and for the land that grew it, with no rush and no industrial shortcuts.
A Flavour with Territorial Identity
More than a jam, this extra preserve is a portrait of Idanha-a-Nova and the UNESCO-recognised territory. Every spoonful brings whoever tastes it closer to the landscapes, vegetable gardens and know-how that have defined Beira Baixa for generations.
A Recipe with Few Ingredients
The recipe combines pumpkin, sugar, whole orange and cinnamon, with no additives or unnecessary ingredients. It's this simplicity that lets pumpkin's natural flavour be the true star of this extra jam, from the first spoonful to the last.

Handmade by Geocakes, it turns one of Beira Baixa's most recognised geological traces into a small decorative piece that can accompany you every day, on the fridge or a noticeboard.
Penha Garcia and Beira Baixa's Heritage
Overlooking the River Ponsul, in Idanha-a-Nova, Penha Garcia is one of Portugal's landmark palaeontology sites. Its rocks have kept, for generations, the traces of trilobites that lived there long before any life existed on dry land. This heritage was decisive in making the Naturtejo Geopark the first Portuguese geopark classified by UNESCO, and it's this story that Geocakes seeks to honour in every piece of craftwork it produces.
Handmade in Beira Baixa
Each magnet is handcrafted in wood, with a magnet applied to the back. Being a handmade piece, small variations in the grain and tone of the wood are natural and part of each piece's character: no two pieces come out exactly alike.

Penha Garcia: Templars, Charters and Memory

The village passed through the hands of the Knights Templar and, later, the Order of Christ, leaving a historical heritage that Geocakes seeks to honour in every piece of craftwork it produces.

An edible tribute to Toulões and the Paeonia broteri
The colour comes from beetroot. The aroma comes from rosemary. The story comes from Toulões. Geocakes' Organic Rosas Albardeiras are exactly the same biscuit with a sense of place - but with every ingredient from organic farming. Handmade in Idanha-a-Nova, in the UNESCO Naturtejo Geopark.
The Rosas Albardeiras are one of Geocakes' most distinctive biscuits. Their identity isn't just about taste - it's territorial. Each biscuit evokes the Paeonia broteri, the wild peony that gives its name to the village of Toulões and blooms every year in the Naturtejo Geopark, the first Portuguese geopark recognised by UNESCO.
The recipe combines organic wheat flour with margarine, sugar, egg, aromatic rosemary and beetroot powder - the natural colouring that gives these biscuits their characteristic hue. All ingredients come from organic farming, sourced from producers who share the same respect for the land and the territory.

The Organic Rosas Albardeiras carry the GeoFood Seal, awarded by the Naturtejo Geopark - a UNESCO network - to products that authentically and verifiably represent the territory and its know-how. Organic production and territorial identity in Idanha-a-Nova: here, they always go hand in hand.

Geocakes Trilobites are born from the geological inspiration of the Naturtejo Geopark - the first Portuguese geopark recognised by UNESCO. Their shape evokes the extinct Palaeozoic arthropods whose fossils dot the Idanha-a-Nova territory. The organic version keeps Chef Raquel's same handcrafted recipe, with all ingredients from organic farming and short supply chains.
The recipe combines organic wheat flour with margarine, sugar, organic eggs (7%), chocolate, millet and cinnamon - no GMOs, no lactose, with a shelf life of up to 120 days. Each Trilobite is hand-shaped, with the time and care a recipe with 40 years of history deserves.
