Handcrafted Blueberry Jam from Beira Baixa
This extra blueberry jam reflects Beira Baixa's traditional know-how, prepared by Chef Raquel and Chef Mário Rui Ramos, with over 40 years of gastronomic experience dedicated to regional cooking. Made in Idanha-a-Nova, at the heart of the Naturtejo Geopark, it represents the best of Portuguese regional gastronomy.
The recipe combines ingredients from organic farming, preserving the blueberries' natural properties. With no added cane sugar, the jam gets its sweetness naturally, resulting in a creamy texture and balanced flavour. It's a vegan, lactose-free product, designed for anyone looking for a more balanced alternative to conventional jams.
A Flavour Born in the Land
Idanha-a-Nova blueberries are processed while respecting their original flavour, preserving all the fruit's natural intensity. It's this organic fruit that gives body to this jam, with no need for added sugars. Taste it and feel the difference between an industrial jam and one made with real fruit, at the land's own pace.
How to Enjoy This Jam
This blueberry jam pairs very well with natural yoghurt, toasted homemade bread or fresh cheeses. It's also a good kitchen ally, adding a special touch to desserts or accompanying breakfast pancakes. Always keep a jar on hand for the moments when only a genuine flavour will do.
Key Features
Made by people who traded the city for Beira Baixa to preserve recipes and work the land with respect, this blueberry jam is one more product that represents Geocakes: organic, handcrafted and true, straight from the land to your table.
Handcrafted Strawberry Jam, Made in Beira Baixa
This extra strawberry jam comes from the handcrafted tradition of Beira Baixa, a region that partners with the Naturtejo Geopark, Portugal's first UNESCO Global Geopark. It's made in Idanha-a-Nova by Chefs Raquel and Mário Rui Ramos, who bring over 40 years of gastronomic experience to the recipe. Geocakes uses just three ingredients: strawberry, sugar and whole lemon, all from certified organic farming.

Ideal for Breakfast and Baking
Enjoy it on a slice of homemade bread or toast, with fresh cheese or regional curd cheese. Concentrated flavour, no artifice

A sparkling wine that shouldn't exist, and that's exactly why it surprises. Made with red and white grape varieties vinified white, following the classical method with a second fermentation in bottle and manual riddling, this Brut from Quinta dos Termos is a genuine original from Beira Interior. A citrine colour, very fine bubbles and an elegant acidity that make it as good for opening a meal as for accompanying it from start to finish.
A Sparkling Wine Made by Hand, Using the Classical Method
Quinta dos Termos started with Baga, Rufete, Fonte Cal and Síria, varieties with naturally high acidity, and vinified them white. After blending, the base wine fermented with free yeasts directly in the bottle, followed by manual riddling. At disgorgement, the dosage was topped up with the wine itself, with no addition of residual sugar. The result is a genuine Brut, dry, fresh and with good structure.
What You'll Find in the Glass
A citrine colour with a bright appearance and very fine bubbles, a sign of method and patience. On the nose, fruity aromas with a slight floral note reminiscent of Cardo Serrano and brioche notes typical of second fermentation in bottle. On the palate, it's very flavourful, with a fresh, elegant acidity that carries through to the finish and invites the next sip.
Territory and Producer
Quinta dos Termos is the home of J. Carvalho Family Estates, a historic Beira Interior producer since 1945. With around 60 hectares of vineyards planted on granite soils at an average altitude of 500 metres, it grows 18 red and 6 white varieties, focusing on traditional varieties and sustainable production. This sparkling wine was awarded 16 points by Vinho Grandes Escolhas magazine.

The five-ingredient recipe Beira Baixa keeps close
Five ingredients. Not one more, not one less. Geocakes' Esses d'Idanha are made with wheat flour (30%), fresh egg yolks, sugar, virgin olive oil (22%) and cinnamon. A recipe Beira Baixa has always known, made in Idanha-a-Nova with the know-how of people who don't need to improve it.
The Esses d'Idanha are one of the most emblematic biscuits in Idanha-a-Nova's sweet-making tradition. Their S shape isn't just aesthetic - it's the sign that each one was hand-shaped by Chefs Raquel and Mário Rui Ramos, following an ancestral recipe that survived unchanged because it never needed to change.
The combination of virgin olive oil (22%) with fresh egg yolks and wheat flour gives these biscuits that texture which melts delicately in the mouth - dense enough to feel, light enough not to weigh you down. The touch of cinnamon rounds off the flavour without dominating it. Five ingredients that, in the right proportion, produce something no list of additives could ever imitate.
With the GeoFood Seal from the Naturtejo Geopark (UNESCO)
Made at the heart of the Naturtejo Geopark - the first Portuguese geopark recognised by UNESCO - the Esses d'Idanha carry the GeoFood Seal. A recognition awarded by the Geopark to products that authentically and verifiably represent the territory. Ancestral recipe, local ingredients, handcrafted production: it's exactly what the Seal confirms.
